Color Trainings are aligned to broad group of users and address
everyone, who deals with reproduction and color. Those are e.g.:
office users, authorities, photographer, graphic designers,
advertising agencies, Litho, print shops up to resellers for
digital color print systems.

Beginners, advanced and professionals will find here their
individual solution, in order to learn the use of color with
Color-Management easily.

Our trainings are aligned on focused target groups in
order to gain an optimal handling and achieve
continuous and high-quality color results.

Bases of chromatics  Bases of chromatics Trainingslevel
Bases of chromatics The operational principle of the human eye as well as the interaction between light and substance are the basis, in order to understand the order system of the color. By means of simple aids the bases of chromatics are described. Colors, emotions and moods frequently play a large role, which we notice unconsciously. Just think about your favorite color or about the color you wouldn’t prefer.
Color areas and color systems  Color areas and color systems Trainingslevel
Color areas and color systems The chromatic spectrum covers all visible and presentably colors. A part of the chromatic spectrum are color systems or color areas. By color systems one understands definition areas, in which individual colors are orderly determined. Pantone and HKS represent e.g. such color systems that are closed to themselves. Colors from color systems are frequently used with prints or in company logos that must be adapted to color areas of print systems. This training describes the differences of color systems and color areas and in how far you can influence them.

Contents of this training are a component of the training Color-Management for beginners.
Color-Management for beginners  Color-Management for beginners Trainingslevel
Color-Management for beginners When using „color“ at your PC or MAC Color Management (CM) is often used without the user is conscious about it. Color Management means the adaption and conversion of different color systems and color areas depending on the operating system and the application program. The corresponding processes base on a standard which is defined by the “International Color Consortium” (ICC). The standard describes how to save propeties of scanners, digital cameras, monitors and printing systems are measured and saved in so-called “profiles”.

The concerted use of CM enables obtaining optimal color results trans-sectoral. By the unification of working steps at the application of CM, the effort of time in handling color dates is reduced considerably. Pre-condition for this is the basic understanding of the functionality of CM as well as the knowledge of limits and possibilities.

In the training “CM for beginners” you learn the basics of Color Management as well as the creation and application of color profiles. It is described how to configure Adobe Photoshop, to obtain optimal results for different demands.
Color-Management in practice  Color-Management in practice Trainingslevel Trainingslevel
Color-Management in practice The possibilities of application of Color Management are very various. The core processes of CM proceed on level of the operating system (Windows or Mac-Os). The controling possibilities for the user are generally in the different application programs which access to the functionality of CM. Large offerer of software like Adobe, Quark, Microsoft etc. have integrated CM in their software packages and admit options of controling color more or less manual. Here pre-adjustments relating to the application and operating system are used.

The different application of different software packages in view of CM therefore demands a detailed consideration. For an optimal use and the best result, special adjustments which we transmit you in our training are necessary. A further thematic focal point is the cooperation of different programs, with the objective of unitary results.
Color-Management for photographers  Color-Management for photographers Trainingslevel
Color-Management for photographers Photo datas in the ditigal photography are produced in RGB-color size. These RGB-color datas can arrive from a digital camera or from the scan by a scanner. Each scanner has a different color space who has to be measured in order to record in detail the color informations. The same for digital cameras, where in addition dfifferent surroundings condition have to be considered. The printer specific RGB-color values have to be handled differently in the photo production p.e. with photoshop. For an easy handling of the datas, it is advisable to convert them in a uniform RGB-work color space. To be able to evaluate and adapt the photos on the screen the monitor settings have to be optimised, the color characteristics of the monitor have to be measured and stored in a profile. For the approach with color profiles p.e. photoshop a correct configuraton of the program settings is necessary. The printing of datas are often made as CMYK for which a color conversion has to to carried-out. The color space of a printer depends from the applied technology, ink and paper. For these different print conditions the guarantee for optimal and high quality color prints is the measurement of the color characteristics and producing the color profile.
Color-Management in offices  Color-Management in offices Trainingslevel
Color-Management in offices Today’s office work is unthinkable without Mac or PC. Color assumed a very importand position in preparing text pages, evaluations or presentation Very often the draft on the monitor diverge from the print and consequently do not accomplish the desired expectation In order to produce the desired color datas also in office work, it is necessary to have an optimal approach with these datas. The picture p.e. from ditial cameras or scanners often satisfy the expectation. The additional use of Color-Management leads to an evident qualtiy increase. Windows and Mac-OS support, by the operation system, the color management and works with a uniform color space which have to be adusted to the color datas of ditigal cameras or scanners. Different graphic cards and monitors produce in team-work an image on the screen which looks different from from system to system. In order to produce uniform results on more computers or monitors, a calibration of the monitors and subsequently a profiling is unavoidable. Most printers offer for color copies different possibilities of configuration, which lead to different results through different change of the color datas. The use of global color profile is only an approach to an optimal quality. The condition in order to obtain a constantly high quality for a longer period of time, is to produce an individual color profile. In this way it is guaranteed that color datas, printing also on different printers lead to an uniform outward appearance.
During this training you will learn how to photograph and scan picture for the work in office, how to use them in office programs and how to calibrate and profile it for monitors. To obtain an optimal copy you will learn how color profile are produced for printer and how to install them. For users how want to obtain the best print quality but are not equipped with a color-management sofware we offer the as a service the possibitliy to produce color profiles.

up-to-date  up-to-date Trainingslevel Trainingslevel Trainingslevel
up-to-date Constant developments in the approach of Color-Management (CM) offer new possibilities and effective work in using color. Producer of soft and hardware continue to improve the efficiency of their products and offer new functions. Image working programs are optimized with layout programs to improve the team-work. It is possibile to define individual rules for single projects for the conversion of color in layout programs to achieve better results. Improved results are achieved by supplementary functions in prints of color printer with new technology and RIP software.
